Palmer Recurve Bows are truly individually handcrafted by a single bowyer, Mike Palmer, not mass-produced by a staff of workers. This means that customers who own Palmer Bows get exactly what they want. Mike helps each customer determine what bow will suit his needs best, then builds it personally. It takes time to build a bow of this caliber, and less than two hundred are crafted each year.
Mike has designed this bow for the serious hunting archer and tournament shooter. It is a true point and shoot bow, with exceptional performance but extreme stability and accuracy. This bow is the product of many years of research and development. Mike has spent his life hunting, working and competing in the archery industry. At the young age of 7 he started his competitive archery career. At the ages of 10, 11, and 12 he was the Texas State Youth Champion. While Mike was pursuing a degree in Architectural Design he won the National Field Archery Championship. He also set a new record for the highest score every shot at the championships.
Mike has won numerous archery titles and has hunted with a bow for over 50 years, taking many Pope and Young class animals. Mike's background in design and his accomplishments as an archer paved the way for him to work with three different major archery manufacturers: Wing Archery, Jennings Archery, and Ben Pearson Archery. In 1986, Mike started crafting recurve bows and has perfected them to be the best performing, most accurate hunting bow on the market today.
His specialty is making bows that fit his customers. Bows come in weights from 20 to 70 pounds and draw lengths from 25 to 34 inches. You can choose your bow lengths from the super maneuverable 58 inch to the velvet smooth 64 inch, which is recommended for taller archers with long draw lengths. Balance, beauty, performance, fit, finish, and true hand craftsmanship. That's what makes Palmer Bows stand out from the rest. Shoot one and you'll find out why no other recurve bow shoots like a Palmer Bow. By taking a close look at the workmanship and warranty that back it, you will see why Palmer Bows is one of the most respected names in traditional archery. |
